HomeNamoi Catchment Water StudyOn 1 September 2010 an Independent Expert was contracted to carry out the Study in accordance with the Terms of Reference. The Water Study involves establishment of a numerical model addressing surface water and groundwater within the Namoi Catchment. This model will be used to support assessment of risks associated with coal mining and coal seam gas development on water resources within the Catchment. The Study will use existing and new data to develop 3-D maps, schematics and models of water and other natural resources in the Catchment. These will be employed to develop scenarios of mining and gas proposals and predict their impact. |
